Energy Rebates Decreasing Soon

Last year we saved our customers over $205,000 through energy efficiency rebates from MassSAVE, Mass CEC (Clean Energy Center), and Cape Light Compact.

Our customers saved twice: with a lower cost of installation for their new heating and cooling equipment, and by reducing their fuel costs in the future with a more efficient system. Individual rebates ranged from $300 to more than $3,000. That’s a lot of money saved!

But news has come from MassSAVE and Mass CEC about changes to their rebate programs that will affect the amount homeowners can save. Starting in November, rebate amounts will be reduced for most heating, cooling and hot water system replacements. This decrease in rebates applies to both oil and gas systems.

However, full rebates are still available for upgrades using qualifying energy efficient equipment for projects started in September or October. Which may be just the incentive you need to get going on that long-delayed replacement of your old furnace or boiler, leaky water heater, or wheezing air conditioning system.

Especially since we do all the paperwork on the rebate application!
