Beacons of Light Art Exhibit

Have you had a chance to see “Beacons of Light”? This free traveling art exhibit of 30 wooden lighthouses decorated by local artists is making its way around the Cape this summer. The exhibit is sponsored by the Friends of Nobska Light in order to raise awareness for the need to preserve this beloved icon for future generations and raise funds to help the cause.

“Beacons of Light” is currently on display (through August 21) at the Martha’s Vineyard Savings Bank in Falmouth and Woods Hole, before moving back to the Keeper’s House at Nobska Light from August 22-September 4. We hope you’ll take the time to visit this wonderfully crafted tribute to this historic structure.

Each of the 30 decorated lighthouses is part of an online auction to help raise funds for the repair and restore Nobska Light. You can take part in the auction by clicking here.

Let’s make sure we all help to preserve this local treasure for future generations!
