How Easy is it to Get an Early Replacement Rebate?
The Fuel Company is supporting the Friends of Nobska Light and their efforts to raise money to restore the historic lighthouse that has become a Falmouth landmark
Residents and visitors alike are attracted to the scenic lighthouse at Nobska Point. And what would the Falmouth Road Race be without the famous climb around the base of Nobska Light!
First erected in 1828, Nobska Light has helped mariners navigate the tricky and dangerous waters off the Falmouth coast for nearly 190 years. The Coast Guard decommissioned the light in 2014, and responsibility for its upkeep was licensed to the Town of Falmouth. In 2016 the town gave responsibility for restoration and maintenance to the non-profit Friends of Nobska Light, a collaboration of The Falmouth Historical Society, Highfield Hall & Gardens, Woods Hole Historical Museum and Woods Hole Community Association.
